About Us

A Christmas message from the Committee

Dear fellow graduates,

Well – what a year.

This 2020 pandemic has caused much death and economic destruction, but at least it looks now as though we have a chink of hope coming our way and that we may be back to ‘normal’ by mid-2021.

The Association, nevertheless, has run four small, well-attended, events in 2020; courtesy of Sotheby’s and hydroponic rooftop city farms. We sadly did have to cancel our much-loved Christmas carol service and concurrent AGM – but look forward to next year’s, in a soon-to-be-announced new Central London location…

We said goodbye to our Immediate Past Chairman, Dr Peadar O’Mórdha who has moved back to… Dublin. We wish him well & thank him dearly for his wisdom and all of his hard work for the Association. We welcome our new Hon. Secretary Cat Úna O’Shea, who graduated from TCD in 2013.

You will be glad to hear that your Association’s financial position is strong, and we continue to recruit new members. We have also formed closer links with The Dining Club and look forward to their hosting of the 2021 Joint Dinner.

We are working – within the pandemic constraints, of course – on a diary of events for 2021. These will include (we hope) a wine tasting, a visit to the Houses of Parliament, art events, our summer picnic, some rugby (watching!) at the pub, and London walks. We also will be running an evening social activity at the Union Club in Soho.

Do keep an eye on the website for more updates as they develop, and if you are active on social media then please do connect with us on FacebookLinkedIn or Instagram (if you are NOT active on social media then we very much look forward to re-connecting face-to-face in 2021.)

It just leaves us now to wish each and everyone of our members the very  happiest of Christmasses – whatever that looks like this year.
